The Best Keke’s Breakfast Café Dishes You’ll Want to Try Again

    /

I finally mad e it to Keke’s Breakfast Café, the cozy chain everyone seems to love for brunch. We met up with friends and their adorable baby for a lazy weekend morning, and this place totally delivered. Between the patio seating, cheerful crowd, and smell of coffee in the air, it’s the kind of spot that feels perfect for anything — a casual date, a family breakfast, or catching up with old friends. Worth the hype? Absolutely. This place was packed when we arrived, and I could see why. Even with a line out the door, the staff kept everything moving. Tables turned quickly, service stayed friendly, and our food…

Moving to Houston? Best Neighborhoods to Live in 2026

    /

Stretching across hundreds of square miles, Houston is a city that feels like ten smaller cities combined. Whether you’re drawn by the energy sector, Houston or the promise of a lower cost of living compared with the national average, finding the right place in this big city takes some digging. If you’re moving to Houston and wondering where to live, here’s my honest advice: start with safety and location first. I truly believe you should live in the safest area you can afford. Take time to check the crime map for your potential neighborhood and drive through at different hours if possible. What does it look like at night or…

The Best Cheddars Vegetarian Menu Options to Try in 2026

    /

One of the best things about Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen is how accommodating it can be for limited diets. If you are a vegetarian, here’s a look at the “special” vegetarian menu and customizable menu items that make it easy to enjoy a satisfying dining experience.  Appetizers Cheddar’s has several vegetarian-friendly starters. You can indulge in classics like the Santa Fe spinach dip or Wisconsin cheese bites, both served with tortilla chips. For a crispier option, try onion rings or queso fries without bacon.  Build your own meal The vegetable plate is a standout choice. I love that Cheddar’s vegetarian options make it so easy to order a bunch of sides…

East Texas BBQ Houston food truck: ribs, brisket, and more

    /

We kicked off Food Truck Wednesdays at work with the East Texas BBQ food truck, and they set the bar high. The crew is originally from Palestine, Texas, and couldn’t have been friendlier. I ordered a veggie plate (and forgot to take a picture of mine), but I took plenty of photos of my friends’ plates filled with ribs, brisket, sausage, and chicken with all the sides. The BBQ sauce was the kind you want to put on everything. If you’re looking for the East Texas BBQ food truck in Houston, keep an eye out for their schedule or text ahead to order. Definitely worth tracking down.
