Celebrating My 30th Birthday Brunch at Federal American Grill
For my 30th birthday, I got a group together for brunch at Federal American Grill in Hedwig Village, and it ended up being exactly what I hoped for. I reserved the Whiskey Room, and it was perfect for a large party. The service was great, the food came out hot, and the entire setup process was surprisingly easy. I also liked that this location gives you real parking options. There is a garage for self-parking and valet right at the entrance, which made arriving with a big group much less stressful. We started with drinks from the brunch libations menu. I ordered the bottomless mimosas for 15 dollars with 1…

East Texas BBQ Houston food truck: ribs, brisket, and more
We kicked off Food Truck Wednesdays at work with the East Texas BBQ food truck, and they set the bar high. The crew is originally from Palestine, Texas, and couldn’t have been friendlier. I ordered a veggie plate (and forgot to take a picture of mine), but I took plenty of photos of my friends’ plates filled with ribs, brisket, sausage, and chicken with all the sides. The BBQ sauce was the kind you want to put on everything. If you’re looking for the East Texas BBQ food truck in Houston, keep an eye out for their schedule or text ahead to order. Definitely worth tracking down.
