Why You Can’t Miss Hamilton at the Hobby Center – Houston 2025 Review

Hamilton has hit Houston, and let me tell you—this is a must-see show! Having seen Hamilton three times before, I can confidently say that the Angelica cast might just be the best one yet. From the outstanding performances to the electrifying energy on stage, this production at the Hobby Center is truly unforgettable.

Jimmie “J.J.” Jeter Steals the Show as Aaron Burr

One of the biggest standouts of the night was Jimmie “J.J.” Jeter as Aaron Burr. I’ll be honest—Burr’s songs have never been my favorites in the past, but Jeter completely changed that. His rendition of Dear Theodosia was absolutely breathtaking, and his performance throughout the night was filled with power, emotion, and undeniable stage presence. Houston is in for a treat with this performance!

Jared Howelton Brings the House Down as Lafayette & Jefferson

Another standout of the night was Jared Howelton, who played Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson. WOW—this guy is a natural performer! His energy as Lafayette was infectious, and when he transitioned into Thomas Jefferson, he took it to another level. He had the audience completely engaged, and I can’t wait to see where his career takes him next.

A.D. Weaver as George Washington – A Powerful Presence

One thing about me and Hamilton? I LOVE George Washington. And A.D. Weaver absolutely delivered. His performance was incredibly commanding, and his voice? Amazing. Every time he was on stage, I was drawn in by his presence, and his rendition of One Last Time was one of my favorite songs of the evening.

Lily Soto Shines as Peggy Schuyler & Maria Reynolds

Another performance that truly stood out was Lily Soto as Peggy Schuyler and Maria Reynolds. Even though Peggy has limited stage time, Lily made the most of it, bringing charm and personality to the role. But where she truly shined was as Maria Reynolds—her voice was absolutely stunning!

An Unforgettable Hamilton Experience in Houston

From start to finish, this production of Hamilton at the Hobby Center was phenomenal. The entire cast was magnetic, the performances were top-tier, and the energy in the theater was electric. If you’re in Houston from March 4–23, 2025, do not miss your chance to see this incredible show.
