The Best Keke’s Breakfast Café Dishes You’ll Want to Try Again

    /

I finally mad e it to Keke’s Breakfast Café, the cozy chain everyone seems to love for brunch. We met up with friends and their adorable baby for a lazy weekend morning, and this place totally delivered. Between the patio seating, cheerful crowd, and smell of coffee in the air, it’s the kind of spot that feels perfect for anything — a casual date, a family breakfast, or catching up with old friends. Worth the hype? Absolutely. This place was packed when we arrived, and I could see why. Even with a line out the door, the staff kept everything moving. Tables turned quickly, service stayed friendly, and our food…

East Texas BBQ Houston food truck: ribs, brisket, and more

    /

We kicked off Food Truck Wednesdays at work with the East Texas BBQ food truck, and they set the bar high. The crew is originally from Palestine, Texas, and couldn’t have been friendlier. I ordered a veggie plate (and forgot to take a picture of mine), but I took plenty of photos of my friends’ plates filled with ribs, brisket, sausage, and chicken with all the sides. The BBQ sauce was the kind you want to put on everything. If you’re looking for the East Texas BBQ food truck in Houston, keep an eye out for their schedule or text ahead to order. Definitely worth tracking down.

PINCHO has partnered with Bernie’s chef-owner Justin Turner for a month-long collaboration that runs Sept. 2 through Oct. 5 at all Houston and South Florida locations. A portion of proceeds benefits the Periwinkle Foundation in Houston and The Battier Take Charge Foundation in Miami. The Bernie’s Burger – Inspired by The Cheerleader, this version layers PINCHO’s Black Angus patty with pepper jack, beer-battered jalapeños, slow-roasted garlic tomatoes, lettuce and cilantro-jalapeño aioli on a brioche bun. “It’s a more sophisticated, 2025 version,” Turner says.
