There’s a new spot in the Heights just in time for summer. Soluna Bar and Restaurant is now open inside Heights House Hotel, offering bold Latin-inspired food, cocktails, and poolside vibes. Whether you’re a hotel guest or just looking for a great place to eat and hang out in Houston, Soluna is ready to welcome you.
Soluna is the latest project from Chris Cusack and the team behind Betelgeuse Betelgeuse. Influenced by the flavors and energy of Cuba, Mexico, Miami, California, and Texas, it’s built for all-day hangouts. The name, a mix of “sol” and “luna,” captures that sun-up to late-night vibe.

Located just north of Downtown, Soluna takes over a 10,000-square-foot indoor-outdoor space inside the hotel. There’s seating for 250, a shaded outdoor lounge, TVs throughout, and even day-pass access to the pool for non-hotel guests.

Bold bites and bright plates at Soluna, documented beautifully by Antony Guerrero. The food is casual, creative, and packed with flavor. The menu features small plates like Papas Rústicas with jalapeño ranch for $6, Chicharrones with queso and pico for $8, and spicy Wings al Pastor for $12. Tacos are available all day, with options like Steak Asada, Fish, Al Pastor, and Mushroom, ranging from $5 to $6 each. Breakfast is also served all day, including a burrito loaded with eggs, bacon, potatoes, black beans, and Oaxaca cheese.

If you want something bigger, go for the Chicken Milanesa Torta, Americana Burger, or Cubano — all under $13. There’s dessert too, including the horchata custard concha and a rich caramel bread pudding.
On the drinks side, Soluna’s bar delivers. Frozen cocktails like the Miami Vice are built for poolside lounging, and the Café Olla Espresso Martini adds a twist with cinnamon syrup and mole bitters. The Bloody Verde comes packed with tomatillo, jalapeño, serrano, and vodka. Margaritas are on deck, both frozen and classic, plus a full coffee menu and non-alcoholic options.
Soluna also has a private event space available for showers, parties, and gatherings. Room service is offered for Heights House Hotel guests.
Hours are 9 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday, and until 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Whether you’re showing up for tacos, cocktails, or a poolside afternoon, Soluna is officially open!
