Sushi lovers, get excited! Handies Douzo is bringing its crave-worthy hand rolls, sashimi, and crudo to Spring Branch starting Monday, August 18. This new spot at 9936 Westview Dr. is the third location for Duckstache Hospitality’s hit sushi concept, joining the popular Heights and Montrose restaurants.
The Spring Branch space is small but mighty, with just 26 seats that make it feel cozy and personal. You can sit right at the sushi bar and watch the chefs work their magic or grab a table and enjoy the laid-back, neighborhood atmosphere. Expect all the favorites, from spicy tuna and toro hand rolls to beautifully plated sashimi, along with seasonal specials that keep things fresh.
Handies Douzo started with chefs Patrick Pham and Daniel Lee’s love for late-night hand rolls after long shifts in the kitchen. The name nods to both the food and the Japanese phrase for “here you are,” which matches the warm, welcoming spirit they’ve built since opening in the Heights in 2019.
You can get a taste every Sunday through Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Whether you’re stopping by for a quick sushi lunch or settling in with friends over hand rolls and sake, the new Handies Douzo is ready to become your go-to spot for fresh, flavorful Japanese bites in Spring Branch.
