Relax at Black Walnut Café Conroe: Great Food, Stunning Views

If you’re looking for a unique dining experience that pairs great food with an unbeatable view, Black Walnut Café in Conroe is a must-visit.

Located on the third floor of the Galaxy FBO at the Conroe North Houston Regional Airport, this spot offers a front-row seat to airplanes taking off and landing, making it a hit for aviation enthusiasts and families alike. Our two toddlers, who are absolutely obsessed with airplanes, were thrilled to watch the action unfold from the patio while we enjoyed our meal.

At Black Walnut, you order at the counter, so I recommend checking out their menu online beforehand to make ordering a breeze. Their breakfast and brunch options are fantastic—don’t miss the Lemon Blueberry Pancakes or one of their creative eggs Benedict dishes. For lunch, they serve everything from fresh salads to hearty ancient grain bowls, and of course, their burgers are a must-try. (Don’t worry, this isn’t a “$100 Hamburger” situation, but the term—a nod to aviation slang—adds to the charm of dining here!)

The staff at the Conroe location were incredibly friendly and attentive, checking in often to ensure we had everything we needed. They really made our visit extra special.

Whether you’re coming in for breakfast, lunch, or brunch—or planning a private event with stunning runway views—Black Walnut Café delivers. It’s the perfect spot for a family outing, a brunch date, or even just a relaxing meal with a view. And for aviation fans, it doesn’t get much better than this!
