Chardon Brings Authentic French Bistro Dining to Houston’s Thompson Hotel

Houston’s dining scene just got a little more Parisian. Chardon, the city’s newest French bistro, is now open at the Thompson Hotel, offering a menu inspired by the timeless charm of Parisian neighborhoods like Montmartre and Le Marais.

Chardon focuses on everyday French cuisine with a modern sensibility, using the best local ingredients to bring classic French flavors to life. Whether you’re in the mood for a spontaneous weeknight meal or a leisurely evening with friends, the restaurant’s warm, understated elegance makes it a perfect choice.

The restaurant is led by Executive Chef EJ Miller, General Manager Bruce Warren, Sommelier Renato Bringas, and Pastry Chef Maggie Lin.

Located on the ground level of the Thompson Hotel, with its own street-facing entrance next to Toca Madera, Chardon is quickly becoming one of Houston’s most exciting new dining spots.

Chardon is located at 1711 Allen Parkway in Houston. The restaurant is open Tuesday through Saturday from 5 to 10 p.m. and is closed on Sundays and Mondays. Guests can take advantage of unlimited valet parking for $10, making the dining experience seamless from start to finish.

For entrées, highlights include Whole Dover Sole Grenobloise, Roasted Amish Chicken with 40 Cloves of Garlic, and a 2lb Maine Lobster Pot Pie with Truffle-Brandy Cream. Steak lovers can choose from R-C Ranch Wagyu options, including a 16oz Wagyu Ribeye or a 36oz Cote De Boeuf served with classic French sauces like Béarnaise and Bordelaise.

Guests can complete their meal with a selection of Les Garnitures, such as Pommes Aligot, Duck Fat Fries with Garlic Aioli, and Sweet Potato & Reblochon Tartiflette. Every dish at Chardon reflects the warmth and sophistication of a classic French bistro, offering a dining experience that feels indulgent yet approachable.
